Known throughout Neath as the founder of Bailey’s Blinds, Mike earned the respect of customers, colleagues, and friends through years of honest service and commitment to his community. Beyond his business, he was also a well-respected member of the Masonic community, where he formed many meaningful and enduring friendships.
For more than seven and a half years, Mike courageously lived with dementia. Throughout that journey, he was lovingly cared for at home by his devoted wife, whose compassion and unwavering support allowed him to remain surrounded by the comfort of family. His loved ones have expressed heartfelt gratitude to Andrew, Mike’s personal assistant, whose exceptional care went far beyond his responsibilities, as well as to Miller Care, Habitat, the respite team at Plas Bryn Rhosyn, and the many carers who supported Mike with dignity and kindness.
The Bailey family also acknowledged the steadfast support of close friends whose encouragement carried them through difficult times, describing their generosity as the true meaning of friendship.
