Boulder Stabbing: A frightening stabbing incident on Pearl Street Mall left locals and visitors shaken after an apparent random attack unfolded around 8 a.m.
According to an eyewitness account shared online, a man unexpectedly stabbed a woman who was walking through the popular pedestrian area before allegedly turning his attention to another nearby pedestrian. The witness said the suspect repeatedly asked the individual if he was “ready to die” while attempting to attack him. The targeted man reportedly managed to distract the suspect by throwing coffee in his face, causing the attacker to drop the knife. The suspect then walked away before police officers, who responded within minutes after hearing screams from the scene, apprehended him about a block away.
The injured woman was reportedly stabbed in the hand and transported to a hospital. Her injuries were described as serious but not believed to be life-threatening.
Authorities have not yet released official details about the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
