Caleb Monk Accident Sherman, TX Death Obituary: The life of Caleb Montgomery Monk was one filled with laughter, adventure, and an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel like family. Though he passed away far too young at the age of 29, Caleb lived with an infectious enthusiasm that left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit will continue to be cherished by those whose lives he touched.
Born on October 3, 1996, in Sherman, Texas, Caleb spent his childhood exploring the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and making lifelong friendships. He attended Sherman schools through the eighth grade before continuing his education at Anna ISD, graduating in 2015. He later attended Tulsa Welding School, proudly telling his family he had finally become the valedictorian of his class—a joke that perfectly reflected his playful personality.
On June 10, 2021, Caleb married the love of his life, Emily, with whom he built a joyful life centered on love, friendship, and shared adventures. Together they operated Monk Land Management, enjoyed concerts, time on the lake, great meals, and countless memories with family and friends. Caleb was also known as the “best househusband,” happily taking charge of the cooking while Emily handled the cleaning.
He is survived by his beloved wife Emily, their dog Kona, their pet fish Bill the Beta, his parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family, and many dear friends.
A visitation will be held on July 6, 2026, at Fisher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas, followed by funeral services on July 7, 2026, at North Park Baptist Church in Sherman.
Caleb’s legacy is one of unconditional love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his remarkable spirit will never be forgotten.
