Addison McKenzie Connelly Bowling Green KY Death Obituary: The Auburn and Logan County communities are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Addison McKenzie Connelly, whose remarkable life was defined by leadership, determination, and an unwavering commitment to serving others. Although she passed away on June 28, 2026, at just 19 years old, Addison leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire classmates, teammates, educators, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on March 8, 2007, Addison was raised in Auburn, Kentucky, where she developed a reputation for excellence both inside and outside the classroom. She attended Auburn Elementary School before graduating from Logan County High School, while also pursuing studies through SKYCTC, the Kentuckiana Real Estate Academy, and KSCORE, demonstrating her ambition and commitment to lifelong learning.
A gifted leader, Addison served as Battalion Executive Officer (XO) and Raider Commander in the Logan County High School JROTC program. She also competed at the national level as a Raider competitor, earning the respect of fellow cadets and instructors through her integrity and dedication.
Her accomplishments extended to athletics, where she became a two-time Kentucky State Air Rifle Champion and helped lead the Logan County High School Rifle Team to a historic championship. She also competed in cross country and track, encouraging teammates with her perseverance and positive spirit.
Addison is survived by her parents, Miranda and Dustin Connelly, her siblings, grandparents, and a large extended family. Funeral services will be held at Kirby Funeral Services in Russellville, with burial at Auburn Cemetery. Her family has also established the Addison McKenzie Connelly Legacy Scholarship to support future Logan County High School graduates.
Though her life was far too brief, Addison McKenzie Connelly’s legacy of kindness, leadership, and excellence will live on through every life she touched and every dream she inspired.
