Brendan James Madsen Obituary Rice Lake, WI Death: Some people leave behind memories that linger in the quiet moments—around a campfire, beneath a full moon, or on a peaceful walk through the woods. Brendan James Madsen was one of those people, remembered for his generous heart, unwavering loyalty, and deep love for his family. His passing has brought profound sorrow to those who knew and loved him.

Brendan James Madsen, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, died on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, surrounded by his loving family. He was 31.

Born on January 30, 1995, in Rice Lake to Eugene III and Tasha (Snyder) Madsen, Brendan attended schools in the Rice Lake School District. For many years, he worked as a cook at Norske Nook Restaurant in Rice Lake, where his dedication and friendly nature made a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike.

Outside of work, Brendan found happiness in the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hiking, spending time in the woods, lighting fireworks, and watching the beauty of full moons. Those closest to him remember him as fiercely protective, free-spirited, compassionate, and always willing to help others.

He is survived by his mother, Tasha (Josh) Meinke; father, Eugene (Tanya) Madsen; sisters, Gianna Deacon and Gretchen Madsen; stepbrother, Damian Meinke; grandmothers, Angela Snyder and Valerie Brandt (Dan); and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Snyder and Eugene Madsen II.

A celebration of Brendan’s life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Rice Lake Veterans Center. Though his life ended far too soon, Brendan’s kindness, adventurous spirit, and enduring love for his family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
